Helicopter Transfers

Helicopter transfers between UK cities like London and Manchester save a significant amount of time. This is especially true considering that airports are often located further away from cities, such as in the case of London. For example, it can take up to one hour and 30 minutes to travel by car from Luton to London, whilst a helicopter flight to London The Heliport, in the centre of the city, takes 15 minutes. Helicopter Safety

Our helicopter charter service prioritizes your safety and strictly follows the rules of helicopter operation within the UK. Weather conditions can sometimes impact our operations. Our pilots have strict parameters to adhere to, ensuring that your flight is both safe and comfortable.

The largest factor when operating a helicopter flight is both forward and vertical visibility. In general terms, we look for a could base of plus 500 feet above sea level and in built-up areas of plus 1000 feet with forwarding viability of 1 kilometre or more.

Single-engine helicopters are more susceptible to weather conditions compared to twin-engine helicopters. This is because twin-engine helicopters are equipped with a variety of all-weather instruments that enable them to fly in adverse weather conditions using instrumentation.

Helicopter Cabin

Single and twin-engine helicopters

A twin-engine helicopter generally offers a greater range and has the ability to carry a larger payload compared to a single-engine helicopter. Furthermore, it is capable of landing in smaller spaces, such as the London Battersea Heliport.

Another significant advantage of twin-engine helicopters is their ability to fly in adverse weather conditions. This is made possible by additional instrumentation specifically designed to handle such conditions.

In the summer months, a single-engine has more days where it is able to fly and is ideal with light payloads over a relatively short run of up to an hour.

Helicopter Charter with Charter-a

Night Rated Helicopter charter

During the autumn, winter, and early spring months, the days become shorter. This means that if you regularly use helicopters, you will need to ensure that you have a helicopter that is capable and legally approved for night flights.

Simply put, in order to effectively complete night flights within the UK in a helicopter, you must be flying in a twin-engine, night-rated helicopter with a pilot who is also night-rated.

Despite their higher price tag and larger size, these helicopters possess remarkable abilities to navigate through the unpredictable weather conditions of the UK. Investing in such helicopters ensures that you can operate with confidence, even during challenging seasons.
