For popular routes with regular demand, Charter-A can often identify the most cost-effective option. For bespoke routes or unusual departure locations, we will assess all factors and provide a transparent breakdown in your quotation.

Yes. Empty legs occur when a helicopter needs to reposition to a new location between bookings. Charter-A has access to empty leg availability across its helicopter network and can offer these sectors at significantly reduced rates - sometimes 40 to 70 per cent below the standard charter cost. Empty legs are fixed on route and timing and cannot be adjusted, so they suit flexible travellers rather than those with fixed schedules. Contact our team to discuss whether an empty leg option is available for your route.

Charter-A provides all-inclusive quotations that incorporate anticipated landing fees and ground handling at the planned destination. Where landing fees are variable - for example at certain private venues or where permissions are required - we confirm these before finalising the quotation. You will not receive a higher invoice than the price agreed at the time of booking for the specified routing. Any client-requested changes to the routing after booking may result in price adjustments which we will confirm before proceeding.

For a single traveller, helicopter charter will typically cost more than first class rail. For groups of three to five, helicopter charter can compare favourably when the time saving, door-to-door convenience, and exclusive use of the aircraft are factored in. On routes where helicopters offer a significant time advantage - such as Central London to Goodwood, which takes under 30 minutes by helicopter versus two hours by road - many clients find the cost premium represents excellent value relative to the time recovered.
